As you may have seen, the demand for reeling in London has skyrocketed in recent months. To help address this issue, The Reel Thing is keen to host 'Reel Thing Socials', monthly gatherings for seasoned reelers to enjoy all your favourite dances, without any teaching, and without any queues (all tickets would be sold online).

These events would take place on weekday evenings in Central or West London, in a spacious venue with ample room for dancing, ideally 250m² or larger (Pont Street is 300m²). We envision a venue with a wooden floor, noise permissions that accommodate our lively activities, and corkage-free options (ideally) to facilitate wine service. The venue would also be close to a pub for those keen on last orders!

To enable us to find a venue, we're calling on YOU to help us! If you suggest a location that we haven't yet considered and which we end up going for, we'll shower you with goodies, starting with a FREE ticket to the next Reel Thing Ball!

At the moment, our two preferred venues for Reel Thing Balls are the Grand Hall in the Battersea Arts Centre (SW11 5TN), as well as Porchester Hall (W2 5HS). We are always open to suggestions for other venues - please let us know here. Thank you!
